Ahhh, it is springtime. Birds are singing, flowers are growing and the sunshine feels wonderful. Today being Easter, I though it might be fun to gather together information about one of the perennial symbols of spring – the egg.

I have fond memories of being a child and dyeing Easter eggs with my Mom and sister to place in our Easter basket. In the back yard right now there is a birdhouse with five tiny bluebird eggs in it (see the picture above). One of the eggs hatched just recently. That’s a baby bluebird in the center of the picture with his back facing the camera. (Awww).
